E.L.S. (Emergency Life Skills) Club for Year 2 children; we meet on a Thursday (3.15 - 4.15pm). The aim of this club is to give children real life skills that they could use in an emergency situation using the HEARTSTART UK training programme. The club meet for 6 weeks and each session combines a short video clip followed with a discussion and hands-on practical skills. We cover areas such as the conscious and unconscious casualty, serious bleeding, choking, suspected heart attack and the recovery position. On completion of all the sessions, children will receive a certificate in our celebration assembly. For the Emergency Life Skills club we run a rolling programme throughout the year to enable as many children as possible to have the opportunity to take part. Class letters go out for parents/carers to express an interest in this club. Please check your child's book bag for any letters.
