Spring Term 1: To Infinity and Beyond
“One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
This half term our topic is called ‘To Infinity and Beyond!’ We will learn all about space, including the historical event of the moon landing back in 1969! We will be looking at different astronauts that have been to space including Neil Armstrong who was the first man to walk on the moon.
In Art we will be creating a piece of artwork inspired by the artists Vincent van Gogh, Georgia O’Keefe and René Magritte.
In English we will be focussing on the texts below:
Whatever Next! by Jill Murphy - We will be exploring what Baby Bear might find in space and what other adventures he may go on!
Beegu by Alexis Deacon - Beegu is not supposed to be on Earth. She is lost. I wonder where she might have come from...
