Summer term 1 A Journey Back in Time
Journey back in time!
This half term our theme is ‘ A Journey Back in Time!’ As part of this exciting topic we will be exploring animals that roamed the Earth in a time gone by.
As part of this work, we will also think about the landscape of the Earth and learn about volcanoes! We will be learning lots about dinosaurs and key facts so expect your children to come home and share lots of this interesting information!
As part of our Literacy learning and linked to our new theme of ‘ A Journey Back in Time!’ We will teach this new theme to your children using a number of core texts. These will include: ‘Tyrannosaurus Drip’ by Julia Donaldson, Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs by Ian Whybrow, Dinosaurs Love Underpants by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort and The girl and the dinosaur by Holly Hughes and Sarah Messini.
