Attendance Matters

It is important to stress the importance of your child's right to an education and to attend school. School is a place for learning and socialising and being part of our school family, here at World's End Infant and Nursery School.

Our whole school attendance target for this academic year will be 95%. I'm sure, that with your continued support, we will be able to reach this.

Can I please remind you to phone school on each day of your child's absence if they are ill. Failure to do this will result in an unauthorised mark being given. School will continue to work with the Local Authority to issue fixed penalty notices, including cases held at Birmingham Magistrates court to ensure that statutory action is effective. Attendance needs to remain high on everyone's agenda.

As a school we will always, listen, understand, sympathise, and support with attendance, however we will not tolerate low attendance. Your child has a right to attend school and receive an education.

If you have concerns around your child's attendance and you need further support, please don't hesitate to contact Mrs D Weate, Pastoral Manager, who will be able to support and/or signpost you to relevant agencies.

Please continue to send your children into school each day.

Thank you as always for your support with this.

School Attendance – a very important message for all parents/carers
