Spring Term 2: Fire and Ice
Fire and Ice!
This half term our topic is called ‘Fire and Ice!’ During this exciting topic we will learn about the four different seasons and what the weather is like for each season.
In Geography we will be looking at identifying the location of hot and cold areas of the world in relation to the equator and the North and South Poles’ and making links with animals that live in hot and cold countries.
In Design and Technology, we will have a go at making a selection of hot and cold foods. We will also design and make a healthy salad for the baby the dragon to eat! We will learn how to keep ourselves safe and healthy when handling food as well as find out where some of our food comes from.
In English we will be focussing on the texts below:
