Our wonderful world
This half term our topic is linked to our incredible world with a focus on how we should, as global citizens be looking after and caring for it. We will be inspired by stories such as 'Dear Earth' by Isobel Otter 'Someone swallowed Stanley' by Sarah Roberts and 'The Journey home' by Fran Preston Gannon. We will be continuing to find out about animals who live in different habitats and how they are being affected by issues such as plastic pollution and deforestation. We will be having a big focus on how we can all make a difference by doing small but important things. For our art, we will be learning about the artist Andy Goldsworthy and taking inspiration from him and creating our own pieces of art inspired by nature. Let's hope the weather is kind to us when we are creating them outside!
